Following the latest guidance from the government and the Church of England, we are suspending all our services and gatherings. In a letter from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, they challenge us to re-envision the church, continuing to pray, worship and love in other ways. I have always said that the church is made of each individual member of God's family, and not defined by those who meet within the confines of four walls.
For the moment meeting together will need to wait, but we can still be the church, in our homes, in our workplaces (if appropriate), and in our community. We are busy putting plans in place to ensure that our corporate worship can continue - these will include gathering via technological means and inviting everyone to pray daily at a set time. I ask you all to look out for each other, and get in touch if there is anything we can do to help.
Let us continue to place our hope and trust in a God who loves us. Let us continue to be His light and hope in this world.
With my prayers and love, Rev Matt
